Is the Zener Voltage Across a Zener Diode Perfectly Constant?
The voltage across a zener does not remain perfectly constant as the zener current varies.
The reason is that all zeners have some value of zener impedance, designated RZ. RZ
acts like a small resistance in series with the zener. The effect of RZ is that small changes in VZ
will occur when IZ varies.
