Op amp Specifications

The Differential-input Voltage Range is the range of voltage that may be applied between the input terminals of the op amp without forcing the the op amp to operate outside its specifications.

If the inputs go beyond this range, the gain of the op amp may change drastically.

Therefore, it's recommended that you follow the voltage range specified in the datasheet of the op amp.
