Pretinned Solid Bus Wire

Pretinned Solid Bus Wire

Pretinned Solid Bus Wire (often referred to as hookup wire) is the wire that is used for hobby projects, preparing printed circuit boards, and other applications where small bare-ended wires are needed.

This wire includes a tin-lead alloy to enhance solderability and is usually insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene, or Teflon.

This is the wire that jumper wires are made of that are popular with breadboarding and which come with breadboard kits. It makes for great wire when soldering and this also is a common use for it.
