Speaker Wire

Speaker Wire is wire that are used for connections with speakers. They hook up to the positive and negative terminals of the speakers.

Speaker wires have a high copper content for great conduction ability. The speaker wires are stranded which increases the surface area of the wires which allows for better current flow.

Speaker wires are made up of two separate wires. One wire is to connect to the positive speaker terminal and the other is to connect to the negative speaker terminal. These two wires must be kept separate and not touch during operation. If they do, a short can occur and possibly damage connected equipment.
