Stranded Wire
Stranded wire is wire that is comprised of a number of individual strands of copper.
Stranded wire tends to be a better conductor than solid-core wire because the individual wires together comprise a greater surface area, which allows current a larger path to travel through.
Stranded wire also has the advantage that it will not break as easily when flexed or bent. Solid-core wire is much much vulnerable
to breakoffs
when the wire is bent back and forth.
