This Factorial Calculator calculates the factorial of the number entered into the text box.

The factorial of a number is the number multiplied by (n-1) until n is equal to 1. Thus, the factorial of 4 is 4 x 3 x 2 x 1.

Factorials can be useful for different mathematical problems and situations.

To use this calculator, a user simply enters in the number for which s/he wants to find the factorial of into the text box, and clicks the 'Calculate' buton. The resultant factorial value will be automatically computed and displayed. The number entered in must be a non-negative integer value. If the number is not, the factorial cannot be computed.

Instead of saying or writing 5 factorial, the mathematical symbol which represents factorial is !. Thus if we write '5!', this is the equivalent of '5 factorial', which is equal to 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1.

This calculator not only computes the factorial and displays the answer but also shows the mathematical steps of how the answer is computed, so that the user knows how the answer was obtained.
