Ratio Calculator (Fractions)

Ratio

Ratio example

Enter any of the 3 fields below, representing fractions, to compute the 4th field.
3 fields must have values for 4th value to be calculated.

      _____  = _____

This ratio calculator calculates the ratio of any 2 fractions entered.

To use this calculator, a user enters values into any of the 3 fields, and the 4th field will be computed.

This calculator functions according to the general formula which can be seen above, a/b=c/d.

a represents the numerator of the first fraction. To calculate a, enter values into each of the other form fields, b, c, and d. The value of a will then be computed.

b represents the denominator of the first fraction. To calculate b, enter values into each of the other form fields, a, c, and d. The value of b will then be computed.

c represents the numerator of the second fraction. To calculate c, enter values into each of the other form fields, a, b, and d. The value of c will then be computed.

d represents the denominator of the second fraction. To calculate d, enter values into each of the other form fields, a, b, and c. The value of a will then be computed.

Ratio calculators can be used in electronics for any of the various ratios which exist, such as the number of turns in a transformer to the voltage output. It can also be used practically for any ratio, including solving for current in ohm's law, I=V/R, and any circuit which deals with ratios.

The unit of the resultant value is whichever value you are solving for.
