Thermal Resistance Calculator

The thermal resistance calculator calculates the thermal resistance of an object based on the temperature of the object, the ambient temperature of the environment, and the power the object or device is utilizing, which is measured in watts.

Thermal resistance is the ability of something to resist the transfer of heat. When we measure thermal resistance, we're measuring the ability of an object to resist the transfer of heat over to it. Depending on the temperature that an object is based on the power that is currently running through it and the outside ambient temperature, we can judge an object's ability to resist heat.

To use this calculator, a user enters in the temperature, t, of the object, the ambient temperature, TA, and the power, P, and then the result is automatically computed. The temperature which is entered should be in degrees celsius. The resultant value is given above is measured in °C/W.
